Dr. Goswami is a PhD in social science, with post-graduation from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi. She was the founder president of MahilaEvamBalVikaasSansthan in 1991 and was the first women president in Karmachari union Sangh, Uttar Pradesh in 2004. She is consistently working on multiple issues to empower women and children and have conducted many training workshops for the same. She is also honoured by Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi.
