SHAPE India GRC/SSK component implemented a set of holistic activities for empowerment of the community especially women. These activities included education, health, nutrition, vocational training, micro enterprise & micro credit, and legal awareness. The Kendra also provides information on various schemes of the Government and facilitate the poor in accessing and helping them with requisite documents, etc.
SHAPE INDIA runs a Gender Resource Centre /SSK at Sarai Kale Khan. This center is a single window counter that helps any common citizen to access and apply for the benefits and assistance, he or she is eligible for the various welfare schemes of the government of NCT Delhi.

Objectives
-imparting skills for specific trades and enabling women to be a part of productive work force and obtain a sustainable livelihood
– Improving the health and nutrition status of women
– Improving the functional literacy of women.
– Raising awareness on issues of social relevance and provide legal literacy about women’s rights
– Establishing a mechanism for linking existing government programmes/schemes with the most vulnerable population, especially women and to enable them to access it in a hassle-free manner through a single window system
– To provide basic health and life support services to homeless
– To provide entitlements of government schemes
– To restore and protect dignity, hope and self esteem
– To develop livelihood skills, provide vocational trainings and mainstreaming of homeless and help them to come out of homelessness
– To sensitize the communities to their rights and relevant entitlements.
