SHAPE India runs various vocational training programs with an objective of empowering the youth especially women and adolescent girls with a skill that would help them in finding employment or equip them to start their own income-generating activities. Training covers numerous fields like cutting and tailoring, beauty-culture, I.T education, Embroidery, etc.

Goal
To make girls economically independent and self-reliant, and make them stand on their own feet. We aim to reduce unemployment among adolescents by equipping them with suitable industrial employment as well as making them self-sufficient to start their own employment.

Coverage
Multiple Vocational Trainings are conducted for 300+ women per year at Jaitpur, Sarai Kale Khan, and Faridabad district of Delhi NCR.

Strategy
Well-equipped vocational centers are set up to provide quality training to women. Training is conducted in multiple batches. Sewing Machines, Beauty Parlorequipments, Computers are provided in the training. Each batch is assigned with the trained instructor that helps the women to learn new things and build confidence amongst them to become independent Numerous industrial visits are organized to create opportunities for the beneficiaries.

Outcome
The community will get a favorable economic and social environment. Around 70% of beneficiaries are placed based upon the skill they are trained upon. The skill-based training programme contributes to improving the performance of youth, which results in the increase of employment and development for society as well as the community.
